"Don Surf" & "More Volnuetsya" camp

This summer (2024), we visited Rostov-on-Don twice for the "More Volnuetsya" camp, and also went surfing at Don Surf in Lebedyan.
Let's tell you more about both of these waves.
"More Volnuetsya" is a new project launched in Rostov-on-Don. Incidentally, this is the first and only wave of its kind in Russia: it completely imitates a real ocean wave. It forms, builds, and breaks in the same way. It's a great place to practice paddling, pop-ups, and turns. In one session, you can catch about 50 waves—where else in the ocean can you experience such beauty? :) Waves are released every 2 minutes: that's enough time to ride and get back to the starting point. It's the perfect way to prepare for the ocean. Next season, the team plans to open a hotel and recreation areas within the camp: you can take packages with accommodation and spend your entire time at the camp, surfing and whiling away the evenings in a warm group.
Lebedyan, "Don Surf" camp
"Don Surf" is a river wave created by the guys using a special dam. It works very similarly to artificial waves in swimming pools, but it's so much fun to ride in nature! The camp offers everything you need for a comfortable stay: cabins, delicious cuisine, a relaxation and work area, surf-skate ramps, and various balance training equipment.
The camp hosts regular theme parties and warm get-togethers around the fire - there's no time to get bored. You can stay at the camp for a few days and enjoy the rides and the beautiful nature. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and recharge your batteries.
